Watercolour on paper, 166x87,7 cm., signed Wang Deyin QinxIan with artist's stamps "Deyin" and "Qinxian zhi".
- Laid down on board, yellowed; a few rubbed/ vaguely scratched spots; vague waterstain in centre of image.
= Wang Deyin was active as a painter and poet in the province of Fujian during the early years of the Chinese Republic (±1912-1930) and was part of a group of 8 women that called themselves "Eight talented women from Fujian". Her name Qinxiang is a literary name that means "the Immortal on the Chinese lute".
