Oosterwyk, 1716, (20),177,(11)p., engr. frontisp., 18th cent. red mor. binding by the PENTATEUCH BINDERY, both covers w. central gilt tooled ornament surrounded by four single gilt tooled daffodils within richly gilt tooled border w. vegetal motif and triple gilt fillet lines, gilt inside dentelles w. floral motif, richly gilt spine w. 6 compartments w. gilt tooled flower in centre, gilt boardedges, 8vo.

- Bookblock loose; occas. trifle/ sl. stained in outer blank margins; verso first blank w. sl. later annot. in pen and ink; new endpapers. Spine-ends chipped/ sl. dam.; corners showing; two dark spots on frontcover; binding badly worn along extremities.

Johann Heinrich Cohausen (1665-1750) was born at Hildesheim, became a doctor of medicine in 1669 and the Bishop of Munster's physician in 1717 (...)
