= In 1917 Cocteau visited Rome, where he drew a portrait of i.a. Pablo Picasso in similar style. In 2010 Bonhams sold an other version of this portrait (dated by Bonhams around 1916) from the Severin Wunderman collection. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE IX.
