- Rotterdam and Amsterdam plates sl. foxed/ fingersoiled. Otherwise very fine.
= Cat. NHSM p. 319, Tiele 3. The second edition, enlarged with views of Batavia and Onrust. The first edition (without text) was published in 1802. Comprises i.a. views of the sea-harbours of i.a. Amsterdam (2x), Rotterdam (2x), Texel, Edam, Middelburg and Hoorn and plates depicting whaling and herring fishery.
- Folds (as publ.); left margin cut on/ just outside the border line; closed tear in left margin in the image; some sm. holes in the image near left edge and in upper right corner; sold w.a.f.
= Probably published as a multiple-folded plan in S. Eikelenberg and G. Boomkamp, Alkmaer en deszelfs geschiedenissen (Rott., 1747).
AND 8 engr. (mainly bird's-eye) plans of towns in Noord-Holland, i.a. "Grondtekening der Stad Enkhuizen"/ "(...) Edam"/ "(...) Hoorn" (Tirion, 1743) and "Medenblick"/ "Enchuysen"/ "Hoorn" (3 small plans, Guicciardini, ±1650).
- Browned; sm. hole in right blank margin; 2 sm. closed tears in the image; remargined along upper and right edge just outside the border line.

- Horizontal fold; a few closed tears and probably some restorations along the upper edge of the image.
= Very rare. A never executed design for a church tower. The print is very similar to Hollar's famous print of the church tower of Antwerp. Orn Cat II 4052.
= First (and title) print of the series of 6 views of Amsterdam. Hollstein 109.

- Offsetting in the margins; yellowed; margins strengthened/ repaired on verso.
= Curious and very rare view, not found elsewhere. A copy after the same view printed by Fouquet, but the people in later contemporary costume. Nothing could be found on the printer/ publisher/ artist "siversnel", but perhaps the artist Joannes Sebastianus Versnel (1748-1843).
AND 7 other etched/ engraved/ woodcut views of the same church, late 17th-19th cent., i.a. a catchpenny print by H. NUMAN (Amst., Erve wed. J. van Egmond, no.129).

= Part of a very rare series of large 18th cent. Amsterdam city views as described by R.W.P. de Vries (auction December, 1925). "De stad in het begin der 18e eeuw. Complete serie der 25 stadsgezichten door de Leth, Schenk e.a. (...) Het is een kleurrijk beeld van het leven en bedrijf der stad in den aanvang der 18e eeuw, zooals men nergens in dergelijke veelzijdigheid ziet". Collectie Dreesmann I, p.235; cat. = View of the house of David Emanuel De Pinto in the Sint Antoniesbreestraat after the alterations by De Pinto.
- A few small stains in the canal; paper sl. yellowed.
= Spectacular and rare view, showing firefighters in action around the burning church and a crowd of spectators on the opposite side of the canal. F.M. 6189. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXII.
- All w. horizontal fold; all yellowed/ duststained in margins; title-p. duststained on fold; occas. (sl.) frayed.

= Interesting early map of "Het oorspronkelijke doch afgekeurde plan voor het Noordzeekanaal", drawn 23 years before the official opening of the canal. Provenance: the collection A.M. van den Broek.
- Agetoned; cut a few mm. outside the borderline.
Stoopendaal, Daniel (1672-1726). "Pont de l'Amstel" (T' Gezigt van de Binnen Amstel, en Schut Sluys naa de Blaauwbrug en Diaken Weeshuys en van de Amstelbrug af te zien in Amsterdam). Etched and engraved view, 40x45,6 cm.
- Upper part cut short, ±15 cm.; closed tear in upper part.
= This is the right sheet of the view of the Amstel, part of the rare series of large views of Amsterdam

Parker, 1720, w. various defects) and a handcoloured view of a public sale of paintings: "Gezicht van het Oude-Zyds-Heeren-Logement, te Amsterdam, van Binnen te zien, benevens de manier der verkooping van Schilderyen aldaar" (publ. by P. FOUQUET).

= The booklet warranted with signature by the publisher. In 1804, the French panorama painter and one of the pioneers in this field, Pierre Prévost (1746-1823), painted the first panorama of Amsterdam. It depicted the city in winter with freshly fallen snow, as seen from the Montelbaanstoren. After being exhibited in Paris, it was shown in 1806 on the Botermarkt (now Rembrandtplein) operated by bookseller and publisher Pieter Johannes Uylenbroek. D'Ailly 228.
- Margins sl. frayed; 5 plates trifle/ sl. stained (2x sl. affecting the image).
