WITH a small wooden table stand w. 12 slots for glass negatives or positives, 13x13x16 cm. (±1930).
= Incl. several images of bridges, i.a. by J. VALENTINE (1815-1880), and images of London as well as Scotland (i.a. Arran, Fingal's Cave (Staffa), Oban and Isle of Skye), Isle of Man and Newcastle.

= Showing people at work in the factory, the gentlemen running the company (all dressed in white), the grounds outside the factory (incl. what appears to be the house with gardens of the director of the factory), and incl. a photograph of the factory seen from the outside with a chimney with two dates painted on its side: "1884" and "1896".
Abdulganie (late 19th/ early 20th cent.). "Oud- en Nieuw Djatiwangi". Series of four silverprints, each 16,4x22,5 cm., 1x dated "26.1.1914" in the plate, all laid down on mount w. identification of the scenes and w. the date of picture (between 26 January and 26 February 1914) in contemp. pen and ink in upper margin and with "Abdulganie Fotograaf Cheribon" stamped in giltlettering in lower margin of mount.
= The four photographs show the building of the new extensions of the sugar production company Djatiwangi near Indramajoe (Cheribon) and are identified as "Molenhuis en rechthoekig daarop het nieuwe ketelhuis"; "Het begin vh dak vd binnenfabriek is gemaakt"; "Molen- en Ketelhuis-dak" and "Molenhuis".

= A remarkable collection of fine studio portraits, consisting of single-person portraits, group portraits, portraits of brothers, sisters, children etc., everyone dressed at their best. The people photographed were almost all from the beautiful small town of Massa Marittima (known best for the World War II partisan Norma Parenti (1921-1944)). = This dummy is almost identical to the publication Kalypso & Nausikaä (Amst., 2004), only without the text and with a few small changes in the order of the contact prints. This dummy provides a good insight in the production process of Kando's iconic photographic story of the chapters 'Kalypso' and 'Nausikaä' from Homer's Odyssee, an early photo-graphic story with and for children. This lot is subject to 4% resale royalties ('droit de suite') over the total amount of hammerprice and buyer's premium.
