- Sl. yellowed on folds; strengthened on verso on parts of folds; 2 horizontal folds closed at splitting ends; 3 sm. wormholes along middle fold; sl. duststained.

- Lacks 1 plate; trifle/ sl. foxed, mostly on title and blank margins. Bindings sl. worn along extremities.

- Binding sl. rubbed along extremities.
= Provenance: owner's stamp on title-p. of Count Attems, who was the "Landeshauptmann" of Steiermark. Rare series of views. The beautiful colouring of the views is so good that each view appears to be a small watercolour of high quailty. SEE ILLUSTRATIONS PLATE LXXVII.
- Small dam. in title-strip, upper margin with loss of 2 letters; a few (sm.) repaired damages on folds; sl. age-toned in outer blank margins and some sm. stained in lower right corner.
= Rare separately issued version of Giovanni Battista Faldas (1643-1678) important 1667 two-sheet plan of Rome (called the pianta piccola), republished during the first half of the 18th century by the Amsterdam publishers Johannes Covens (1697-1774) and Cornelis Mortier (1699-1783). The present Covens & Mortier version seems to have been published before the 1730 update (which added recent architectural additions) given that it is a faithful copy of the 1667 print (the key has the original 254 place names). This version differs from the 1667 pianta piccola only in that it omits the names of Falda and De Rossi beneath the title. Hülsen nn.119-120; Frutaz CLVIb. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXXVIII.
- Folds as publ.; splits/ tears on folds partly strengthened/ closed; sl. yellowed; waterstained in upper blank margin.
= Very decorative plan/ view after the larger plan by Antonio Tempesta of 1593. It shows Rome before the construction of Bernini's Piazza San Pietro and with many old churches that would fall victim to the extensive urban reconstructions of the Baroque era. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXXVIII.
- Middle fold flattened; sm. closed hole in cartouche, minor imperfections. All in all a fine map.
