= "De doos die voor u ligt ["Doos voor Koos"] en de kast is een korte typering van een bok met zo'n 20 letterkasten. (...). Een jaar of zes geleden besloot De Maasstad dat het papiermagazijn uitgebreid moest worden en daardoor moest men een deel van het oude lettermateriaal opruimen. Els Kerremans, grafisch vormgeefster en schoondochter van Kees Baart, kon de bok met de mooiste rariteiten zoals ornamenten, gotisch font van de schroothoop redden in bruikleen in haar werkruimte plaatsen. Toen Els vijf jaar later zelf ging verhuizen, was er ook bij haar voor de bok geen plaats meer. In overleg met Koos Schuurman [directeur van Drukkerij De Maasstad] is toen besloten om het geheel aan Kees Baart te schenken. Die schenking was voor Kees Baart het signaal om de drukkervrienden Corps 8 bij hem te ontbieden, want er moest iets gebeuren met de pas verworven Kast van Kees!. Zo ontstond het idee voor een verzameling drukwerk waarbij elke drukker zijn of haar inspiratie volgde, met als basis het materiaal uit die fantastische bok met de vele kasten. De resulaten moesten bij elkaar in een Doos voor Koos" (from the colophon). Contains contributions by 8 different private presses, together forming Corps 8: Dick Berendes (Typografiek), Kees Baart (Het Schuurtje), Gerard Post van der Molen (De Ammoniet), Sjaklien Euwals (De Overkant), Dirk Engelen (Clio Pers), Thijs Weststrate (Zonder Dak), Silvia Zwaaneveldt (De Baaierd) en Henk Francino (De Pers Achter de Muren) and one contribution by Jos van der Zee.
