- New endpapers; first title doubled. Rebound using a schoolprize binding of Nijmegen; lacks ties.

= Rare edition. On this famous mystification De Troeyer I, p.267-278: "Daargelaten de kwaadwillige bedoeling vormen de Historie en de Sermoenen van Broeder Cornelis evenwel een historisch monument van waarde, omdat de samensteller die een tijdgenoot [van Corn. Adriaensz. Brouwer, 1521-1581] was ze "geënt heeft (...) op historische feiten en toestanden" (...). Tot in het begin van de achttiende eeuw kende het werk talrijke herdrukken en in zekere anti-roomse kringen werd het met graagte gelezen. Wat de inhoud betreft kunnen we ons voorlopig beperken tot deze formulering: heftige uitvallen tegen de zestiende-eeuwse hervormingsgezinden en hun leer. De vorm: ontstellend brutaal, ontstichtend, vaak zelfs scabreus". Written in common, often very violent en coarse Flemish, the book was particularly notorious for the descriptions of Broer Cornelis' "secret penitence", flagellation and more. In 1788 verscheen een vervolg op de Triumphzaal, genaamd Kroonwerk (...) Het vangt aan met een reeks van tabellen en elementaire beschrijvingen van de planeten, als mede een kleine inleiding voor de astronomisch en astrologisch ongeschoolden. Daarna volgden voorspellingen van de gewone kwaliteit over de jaren 1836-1899 (...) Kersteman wist zeker, dat hij, geboren in 1728, wel nimmer over de orakeltaal van het Kroonwerk ter verantwoording zou worden geroepen en hij kon zijn pen een dus nog ongebreidelder onzin laten neerschrijven dan anders".
